Die Halde besitzt auch eine Himmelstreppe, mit der auf direktem Wege das Haldentop erreichbar ist. Dabei werden 52 Höhenmeter überwunden. Teilweise hebt sich die Treppe brückenartig vom Grund ab, um geradlinig zu verlaufen und vorhandene Vegetation wie ein Schilfgebiet zu schützen.
